Oh man, I gotta push back a little on that "weight" part. Those old boats were heavy sure but not always in a good way. My uncle had a '76 Impala and that thing handled like a couch on ice skates. The steel was thick but the suspension was all floaty and vague. You could feel every ounce of that 4,000 pounds in the corners. I'll take a modern chassis with its stiff frame and tight steering over a land yacht any day.
