A flatbed driver in Memphis told me 'Never trust the paperwork' after a load shift.
Now I walk the entire trailer before I even touch the straps. Anyone else had a close call like that?

That line about never trusting the paperwork is so true for way more than trucking. I've started seeing it everywhere, like the official story is never the full picture. You have to do your own walk-around, in a way, for everything. Whether it's a news headline or a work email, the surface details often hide what's really going on. It's made me double-check things I used to just take at face value. That driver gave you some solid life advice along with the job tip.

Makes you wonder who writes the paperwork in the first place.
