Why does nobody mention you're supposed to flip your mattress every 3 months?
I just rotated mine for the first time in 2 years because I noticed a giant dip on my side. The tag literally says it right there in tiny print and I never read it until last week when I flipped the whole thing over by accident. Ever had a mattress indent wreck your sleep without realizing it?

My wife bought a cheap foam mattress topper years ago and that thing held moisture like a sponge. I realized the real issue with not flipping isn't just the dip, it's the sweat and dead skin building up in the same spot month after month. I started flipping that topper every time I vacuum under the bed, which is about every 6 weeks, and it stays cooler and smells fresh. The tag on my mattress says every 3 months but I think that timing is more for the foam layers to recover than anything to do with hygiene.

You ever notice the dip actually get worse right after you flip it for a couple days before it bounces back? I rotated mine and the first night my back felt like it was sleeping on a hill. Took like a week to settle back flat. Also do you flip the whole mattress or just rotate it head to foot? Because tags say flip but most modern ones are one sided and you can only rotate. I got stuck with that issue on a pillow top that basically can't be flipped at all. Just spins in circles every 6 months and the dip keeps coming back.
