I was on a trip in the Smokies last month and a guy walked past my site while I was struggling with condensation inside. He just said, 'loosen up your fly, there's no airflow.' I thought it had to be drum tight to keep water out, but he was right. I let out about 3 inches of slack on each side and woke up dry for the first time in forever. Anyone else have a basic setup habit they only caught by accident?

I had to rope it down piece by piece over their garage. Took me 7 hours when I budgeted for 4. But the homeowner was watching from the window and came out with a hundred dollar tip. He said he appreciated me not taking shortcuts. Made up for the lost time and then some. Anyone else have a tip that turned out way more complicated than it looked?

I always figured it was a waste of time since the router would smooth things out. This week I tried it on a set of upper cabinets for a kitchen remodel in Arlington. It took maybe ten extra minutes per sheet but my miters came out way cleaner and I had way less chipout. Has anyone else found a simple step like this that cut down their sanding time later?
