That paper towel trick for cleaning windows actually works

I tried wiping my windows with crumpled newspaper instead of paper towels last week and somehow zero streaks left behind... has anyone else ditched the fancy sprays for just water and newsprint?

Oh yeah, newspaper is the old school secret that actually works way better than paper towels. Just make sure you use plain water and not the glossy ad pages since those smudge like crazy. I've been doing this for years and it saves me a ton on paper towels and window cleaner.

Totally feel you on this @dakota_taylor39. I had a window cleaning disaster last month where i tried using a microfiber cloth and it left streaks everywhere, ended up redoing half the house with old newsprint and it came out crystal clear. The ink thing is real though, i learned that lesson the hard way when i used the Sunday coupon inserts and my windows looked like a printer exploded on them. Plain water is seriously all you need, it's wild how well it works. My grandma taught me this trick years ago but i forgot about it until now, so glad you brought it up because i'm never going back to paper towels.
