Blog writing is way different now than it was 10 years ago

I used to spend an hour just thinking up a topic and then another two hours typing out 800 words by hand. Now I throw a few bullet points into an AI tool and get a full draft in 30 seconds. The change happened around late 2022 when those chatbots really got good. It saves me time but I still have to fix a lot of the tone myself. Anyone else feel like the editing part takes longer now than the writing used to?

Editing used to be catching typos, now it's rewriting entire paragraphs to sound human again.

And thats exactly what I keep running into too. @owens.nancy hit it spot on - the editing phase now feels like I'm doing the real writing. I spend twenty minutes tweaking tone and fixing clunky phrases that sound like a robot vomited them out. Used to be I'd just run spellcheck and maybe swap a couple words, now I'm basically rewriting whole sections to get my actual voice back in there.
