inDebate: Pine or poplar for painted trim work?
Stick with poplar for painted trim, you'll save yourself a lot of headache in the long run. Pine has that open grain that soaks up primer unevenly and you end up doing an extra coat or two to get it smooth. I learned the hard way on a whole house of baseboards that pine needs a good shellac-based primer first or the grain just keeps telegraphing through. Poplar costs a bit more but cuts the prep time in half and the final result looks like a professional did it.

inSpent 20 minutes truing a wheel yesterday and it ended up worse than when I started
Reset everything from scratch is good advice, but what really helped me was marking the rim and tire with a piece of tape at the worst wobble. Then I loosened that spoke and its neighbor a half turn, tightened the spokes opposite them a half turn, and checked again. Doing small adjustments like that kept me from chasing my tail all afternoon. You really gotta go slow and check the tension with your thumb every few turns or you'll just end up with a mess. Walking away for a few hours is smart too, sometimes you just need fresh eyes.

inHot take: I don't get why everyone loves the tournament arcs in anime
Buddy, you're making me feel personally attacked because I'm literally the guy who fell asleep during the Chunin Exams twice. lol. The last tournament arc I actually enjoyed was the one from the first season of Blood Blockade Battlefront, and even then I think it was just because the show was so insane. Chimera Ant arc was rough for me too, I kept waiting for something to happen and then the narrator would explain everyone's inner thoughts for three episodes straight. Maybe we're just not built for the "power up and stare at your opponent" genre.

And @janac51 that reminds me of the time I tried to fix a breaker that was never actually tripped...
