inWhy does nobody talk about preheating the air fryer for frozen foods?
Sorry @hugo_hayes, I actually get crispier fries by tossing them in cold and letting the defrost time preheat, no soggy mess here.

inJust realized I was storing my apples wrong for months
Learned this one the hard way too. It's like how you figure out that putting warm leftovers straight in the fridge just steams everything else in there, or that you're supposed to let cast iron cool down before washing it. Little rules nobody tells you until you mess it up a few times.

inFinally hit 500 tracked objects in my backyard shots
Ngl, "spreadsheet of tiny specks" is exactly how I felt about logging for a while too. I read somewhere that visual astronomers log differently than imagers because you're actually seeing the object through the eyepiece, not just capturing photons for stacking. That kinda clicked for me. I still log my sessions, but I keep it super loose now, just a quick note on what I saw and a one-word rating like "clear" or "meh." It stopped feeling like homework once I dropped the strict count stuff. For me, the log is more about remembering which nights were worth freezing my butt off for, not about bragging rights on a number.

inHot take: ceramic pie plates beat glass for fruit pies
Ngl I was team glass for years but ceramic definitely browns the bottom way better, it's not just in your head. I actually had to drop my temp by like 15-20 degrees cause the crust was getting too dark before the filling was done.

Singapore is actually a common hub for cloud services, not necessarily where the data is really going or being stored. A lot of smart home companies route things through regional data centers there because it's a major connection point for Asia. You might want to check where your Nest actually stores video, because blocking those IPs could just be stopping firmware updates.
