inMy gas bill dropped $45 after I sealed the attic hatch
The air sealing matters more than the insulation on attic hatches though.

inWhy I stopped using self-checkout after watching a mom handle 3 kids with cash
My friend Laura had this exact moment last month. She was at Target with her own two kids, one screaming because he dropped his fruit snacks, and she gave up on the self-checkout to go to a regular lane. The cashier not only checked her out but also opened a bag of goldfish from her cart to calm the toddler down. It completely changed how she shops now, she'll wait twice as long for a real person instead of fighting with a screen.

inMy bus route used to be a 25 minute ride, now it's a 45 minute crawl
Is it just me, or does "predictable" mean something different for bikers than drivers? I've had times where the bike lane is clear for a few miles and then just ends at a bridge or construction zone. You end up having to merge with cars or take a detour, and that's where the unpredictability hits. I've had a few close calls in those no-man's-land stretches, so I wouldn't exactly call the whole ride a sure thing time-wise. Maybe your route is different, but I'd still budget an extra ten minutes for the unexpected.

inMy first ever winter roof inspection gave me a rude surprise
3 leak spots? That's wild, I'd be freaking out if I missed something like that.

inTIL that watching dubs vs subs is like comparing HIIT to steady state cardio for anime fans
Subbed myself right into a corner for years thinking I was better than everyone. Then I watched the Ghost Stories dub and realized I had been taking anime way too seriously. That show is pure chaos and the dub cast was clearly having the time of their lives. Now I just pick whatever version makes me less tired after a long shift. Dubbed Goku sounds like a grandma and I will die on that hill.
