Tried booking a commercial dumpster for a job in Hamtramck, took 3 weeks to actually get one delivered

Waited damn near a month" sounds about right. My neighbor in Ferndale ordered a roll-off last October and it showed up three weeks late with a cracked lid. The guy on the phone kept saying "tomorrow" for two solid weeks.

Showerthought: I just found out how many bearings are in a standard cup and cone hub

Yeah, @joseph_murray8 is right. I read somewhere a cheap headset has like 40.

That time my trowel handle snapped mid-dig at the Sutton Hoo site

My Marshalltown handle went the same way on a wet Tuesday at a Roman villa site, right when I was trying to impress the site director with my scraping skills. I ended up finishing the day using a bent butter knife from the site kitchen, which definitely did not help me look professional. At least you had a picnic fork, I had to explain to everyone why I was digging with something from the cutlery drawer.

Found a trick for fishing lines through finished walls in 10 minutes flat

Huh, the glow rod with a magnetic bit is actually a solid call. I've been using the old metal rods for years but they're a pain when you hit a stud or some insulation that's packed tight. The magnetic ones let you hook a pull string through from the other side way faster. I'd say the big trick is using a high strength neodymium magnet on your tape end so it really locks onto the bit through drywall. For most houses the rods still work fine, but in a finished brick place with no access, the magnetic setup saves you a lot of crawling around in the attic.

My garage outlet project turned into a full wall tear-out

That knob and tube was probably original to the house, not some hack job from the 90s.
