Tried something similar with my laundry room sink a few months back. Actually used the vac on suck mode first with a wet rag seal. Got out this nasty sludge that had coffee grounds and soap scum mixed into a paste. Then ran hot water for a solid minute and it's been flowing perfect since. Blowing air into it made me nervous honestly, too many joints in those pipes.

Hold on @alex_hall91... driving all the way to Portland just for an $8 lunch plate seems like you're taking this a little too serious. I mean yeah it's a solid deal but gas alone would eat up whatever you're saving on food. These cheap spots pop up and disappear all the time anyway, wouldn't count on it being there by the time you roll through town.

Man, I feel your pain. I had almost the exact same thing happen with my TAP card at a Metro station last year. The reader was so picky I had to hold it there for like five seconds and it still failed twice. Metro charged me a $10 fee for "suspicious activity" and I lost about $8 in stored fare. What finally worked for me was calling their customer service line right when they opened at 8am. I explained the faulty reader to them and after 45 minutes on hold they refunded the fee and restored my balance. You gotta be persistent with them though, they'll try to blame you first.

Nah, counting every mile is the only thing that keeps me from going completely postal out there.
