inWhy does nobody talk about how often specs change after we break ground?
Come on now, is this your first project? Changes happen all the time, it's just part of building stuff. You get a new drawing for a light switch location or a different pipe size, you deal with it. Sure, tearing out a whole wall sucks, but that's pretty rare. Most of the time you're just tweaking things, not starting over.

inCan we talk about how free trials sneak up on you?
My credit union sends text reminders three days before a payment is due. That usually gives me enough time to log in and pay without a late fee. I get where you're coming from, but I see it as more of a nudge to stay on top of things. Mailing checks was a pain because they could get lost or arrive late, lol. Now with auto-pay, I never have to worry about it.

inUpdate: My last project payment got held up for weeks...
Might as well be a bank with those holds.

inI used to laugh at using a marver for every gather, but a lopsided bowl proved me wrong.
Yeah, I was totally in that same boat! I always thought it was a waste of time for simple shapes. Then I made a vase that was so crooked it was laughable. That one piece taught me more than a hundred perfect ones ever could. Now it's just part of the routine, no matter what I'm making. That extra few seconds saves me so much headache and lost work later on.

inMy mentor taught me stain mixing with basic pigments.
You hit the nail on the head. Once you see that handmade color range, the flatness of tube paint really stands out.
