PSA: Those Cozumel currents at Devil's Throat caught me off guard!

Just finished a dive trip to Cozumel and my group tackled Devil's Throat last Tuesday. The surge there is serious, and I spent a lot of energy just staying near the drop-off! The swim-through was amazing, with huge sponges and eagle rays passing by. Now I'm eyeing a similar adventure in the Red Sea but hear the drifts can be tricky. Has anyone tried diving around Ras Mohammed or the Thistlegorm wreck? I'd appreciate any beta on dive operators who are good with current management. My buoyancy is decent, but those ocean forces are a real test! Hoping to gather some solid tips before I book flights.

Picked up a used tool belt at a garage sale. Wearing it around the house showed me why good gear matters on the job.

I never thought much about my work setup before. This thing keeps all my stuff in reach without digging through bags. Makes me see how the right tools can cut down on wasted time.

DAE spend forever waiting for a solar eclipse only to have clouds roll in?

I drove hours to get to the path of totality and set up my gear. Right as it started, a huge cloud covered the sun completely. Had to just laugh at how ridiculous it was after all that planning.

Heads up, a new pest is decimating pepper plants in our neighborhood.

I've lost three crops to what looks like a mutated form of aphid that ignores organic sprays. Check your plants daily and consider introducing ladybugs as a preventive measure.

Always believed in fixed rates, but a client nightmare showed me the flaw.

I stubbornly stuck to fixed-rate pricing for years, thinking it shielded me from scope creep. Then a project blew up with endless revisions, and I was basically working for free. Now I demand hourly billing or ironclad change orders upfront. That disaster wasted my time and nearly killed my cash flow. Lesson learned the hard way.
