DAE spend forever waiting for a solar eclipse only to have clouds roll in?
I drove hours to get to the path of totality and set up my gear. Right as it started, a huge cloud covered the sun completely. Had to just laugh at how ridiculous it was after all that planning.

Man, that's brutal but you might have missed the cool part. Even with thick clouds, totality makes the world go dark in a weird way, like a sudden dusk. Did you notice the temperature drop or any animals acting strange before the cloud covered everything?

Wow, my friend told me about her eclipse view. She felt the air get cold real quick, just like you said. Her cat hid under the bed before the sky went dark.

Totality in my area lasted about two minutes. I felt the temperature drop maybe ten degrees, which was wild. Did your friend's cat come out right after, or did it stay hidden?
