Just realized from my scuba logs that we idolize octopuses too much.
Their intelligence is fascinating, but cuttlefish solve problems just as well.

Interesting point about cuttlefish solving problems just as well! What's the most impressive cuttlefish behavior you've logged?

Ngl, their camouflage isn't just for hiding, it's a complex language we're barely decoding. Honestly, it mirrors how society undervalues nonverbal intelligence, @shane78. We prioritize talk over pure problem-solving.

Watched one clever girl at the aquarium solve a child-proof jar for shrimp. Kid was crying about his snack, cuttlefish just popped the lid. Basically got outsmarted by a mollusk and a toddler in the same minute. Felt like a real humbling moment for humanity.

What's your go-to method for documenting cuttlefish behavior? I always note the water temperature and time of day in my logs, it really shows patterns in their problem-solving!
