inPSA: I stopped zipping bolts tight with an impact and my repair jobs got better
Honestly, tool blunders like that are so common. Remember a guy at the auto shop using a breaker bar on a tiny bolt and snapping it right off. Lessons learned the hard way stick with you, though!

inBlack and white space images hit different for me
Totally get what you mean. Those color images always look like someone went crazy with the saturation slider. The black and white ones just show what's really out there, you know? Like you can see the fine details in a nebula or the sharp shadows in moon craters. It feels more raw and real, like you're seeing the bones of the universe instead of a fancy painting. Makes the whole thing less like a postcard and more like an honest look.

inFashioned a suction head from old pipes for my property's drainage ditch
That half-inch mesh idea is smart, my cousin in Michigan swears by it for his sump pump. He had so many leaves in his yard that a finer screen would just get blocked right away. It reminds me of when I helped him clean out his gutters, what a mess that was. But yeah, using a coarse mesh like that really does the job without slowing things down. Solid choice for sure.

inMy site's 3D printer disaster taught me a hard lesson
That hollow tap sound is the stuff of nightmares when you scale it up to a whole wall. Makes you wonder what other bonding issues don't make a noise until it's too late.

My Colorado breakdown NEEDED a logic analyzer to find that ghost CAN bus glitch.
