Ngl I think you might be mixing up the seasons a bit. Season 2 ended with her on the set of a TV show called 'The OA' in a different dimension where she was an actress named Brit, not really a house. There was definitely a lot of talk about season 3 being set in our real world where OA's story was just a show. I remember Brit did that interview with Variety right after the cancelation and she said they had the whole 5 season arc mapped out. She also hinted that Hap was going to somehow remember his past lives while OA was stuck thinking it was all fiction because she was just playing a character. The house stuff was mostly season 1 finale with the shooting.
