You said the system tracks the part, but that's ONLY true if the database is perfect. What happens when the server has a glitch and the work order history gets wiped? I've seen it with service records. If no one wrote down the weird fix they did last year, that knowledge is just GONE. The problem isn't the tablet, it's having zero backup outside the system.

Consider how many audits actually fix the core problems. butler.iris has a point about them ignoring transparency issues. I read one case where the audit only checked if the code compiled, not how it targeted neighborhoods. Maybe keep lobbying for something with teeth.
