TIL my home inspection missed a major plumbing issue until the toilet backed up into the basement

I was standing in my new house in Omaha last Tuesday watching water rise over the floor, and it took me three calls to find a plumber who would even come same day. Has anyone else dealt with a surprise repair that their inspection totally overlooked?

Wait, the inspection missed the pipe that literally connects your house to the sewer line? That's like checking a car and forgetting the wheels are supposed to be round.

Don't inspections usually skip underground stuff unless you specifically pay for sewer scope?
