A quick warning about meeting the neighbors at your new place

I didn't expect my first intro to be them complaining about where I parked my moving truck before I even unloaded a box.

Oh, that's rough. My friend had a similar thing happen when she moved into her apartment. The guy downstairs came up before she even had her keys copied to say her welcome mat was 'too loud'. She had to just laugh it off because what else can you do.

God that's so real. It's like some people just wait for new tenants to move in so they can start their little power trips over nothing. A welcome mat? Seriously? I bet that guy complains about footsteps during daylight hours too. Honestly you just have to laugh at that point because if you take it seriously you'll go crazy living next to them.

My old neighbor in Chicago once left a sticky note on my door saying my cat was "staring out the window too aggressively." I feel like he and fiona_clark's downstairs guy would be best friends. Some people just have a real talent for finding problems that don't exist.
