I finally watched the end of 'The Good Place' after putting it off for ages

I was at my sister's place in Chicago last weekend and she made me sit through the whole finale. I always thought the show was just a silly comedy, but that last episode, especially the scene with Chidi and the wave, really got to me. It made me think about endings in a whole new way. Has a finale ever hit you that hard when you weren't expecting it?

What other finales have you seen that totally changed how you felt about the whole show? Like, I remember the end of Six Feet Under wrecking me because it showed everyone's whole lives.

Oh yeah, Six Feet Under's finale set the bar impossibly high. No show has topped it since.

Totally get what you mean about that wave scene. I cried like a baby, and I NEVER cry at TV shows. It just made the whole idea of saying goodbye feel peaceful instead of sad. That finale really sticks with you.
