Figured out what your monthly savings are yet? I tracked mine after hitting 500 home cooked meals and realized I was pocketing almost $400 a month compared to my old takeout habit. That number blew my mind more than the cooking streak itself.

Had a buddy who bragged for years about how he "didn't have time" to cook. Then his wife went out of town for two weeks and he almost lived on gas station sandwiches and instant ramen. By day five he texted me asking for my chili recipe because he was sick of feeling like garbage. Now he sends me pics of his meal prep every Sunday.

Used to roll my eyes at people posting about cooking at home like it was some big achievement. But then I actually started tracking my own meals this year and hit around 800 last month. Changed my whole view on what it means to be consistent with something basic like feeding yourself. Going from ordering out three times a week to cooking most nights really adds up. It is kind of wild how much money and time you save once you get in the groove of it.
