Had to choose between the cheap grocery bags or the reusable ones at checkout yesterday

I was at Aldi in Columbus and forgot my reusable bags again in the car. Faced that 10 cent per bag decision. I grabbed the cheap plastic ones because I was in a hurry and had 12 items. Now I feel guilty seeing them in my cabinet, knowing I'll probably toss them after one use. Does anyone actually remember to bring their bags every single trip, or do you just accept the cost? I'm thinking of leaving a set in my trunk full time.

Honestly, do you really feel that guilty over ten cents? I just accept the cost and move on. Those plastic bags get reused as trashcan liners or for messy stuff in my house anyway. Leaving a set in the trunk sounds smart but I tried that and they just slide around and I still forget half the time. Ngl, the reusable bag guilt feels kinda overblown to me.

Wait wait wait. Did you just say you reuse those thin plastic grocery bags as trashcan liners? For your actual trashcan? How do they not rip and spill garbage everywhere? I've tried that and ended up with coffee grounds all over my kitchen floor.
