I was steaming faces for way too long and didn't know it
For three years, I gave everyone a solid ten minute steam at the start of a facial, thinking it was the only way to really open pores. Then I saw a client with rosacea get super red and blotchy right after. Her skin looked angry, not prepped. I looked it up and realized steaming can actually make some conditions worse, especially for sensitive or inflamed skin. Now I only steam for maybe two minutes, and only if their skin can handle it. How do you guys adjust your steam time for different skin types?

Read that and my jaw actually dropped. Ten whole minutes for everyone?

Everything's getting slower, it's a whole vibe.
