Blew $400 on a 'done for you' dropshipping store and got nothing
I figured I'd shortcut the hard part and bought a pre-built store from a guy on Fiverr. Paid $400 thinking I'd get a polished site with winning products and a marketing plan. What I got was a generic Shopify template with 12 random items from AliExpress and zero research. The 'marketing plan' was just a list of Facebook groups to post in. No sales, no refund, guy disappeared after a week. Has anyone else fallen for these package deals or am I just the sucker here?

Gotta push back on this one. You paid for a shortcut in a business that's all about grinding through the details, and shortcuts usually end up costing you more in the long run.

My neighbor spent $200 on one of those meal kit services thinking it would save time cooking. Three weeks in, she realized she was still spending an hour a night chopping vegetables and cleaning up, plus the boxes piled up in recycling. Same thing with my cousin who bought a fancy smart home system to save five minutes turning off lights. He spent three weekends programming it and the app still crashes. This shortcut mentality creeps into everything these days. We pay extra to skip ten minutes of work but end up wasting hours dealing with the mess it creates.

Actually that meal kit comparison doesn't quite fit since you paid for a full business, not just a time saver.
