My friend's rant about 'The OA' made me see it differently

I always thought that show was too weird, but she said 'they were building to a dance battle across dimensions to save everyone, and we'll never see it' while we were getting coffee. Now I'm actually mad we lost that potential. What's a show you wrote off that you now wish had gotten another season?

Okay that is a WILD way to put it and now I'm mad too. Honestly used to think "Mindhunter" was too slow and talky. But then someone said it was basically building to a deep dive into the BTK killer, who they kept showing the whole time, and Netflix just stopped it. Now it feels like we missed the whole payoff and I wish they'd bring it back.

That show had such a slow burn with BTK. We saw him setting up his bindings in his own house, doing his weird little rituals, and it was all just ticking up to something huge. The fact that we never got to see Holden and Bill finally sit across from Dennis Rader after all that setup is a crime. It feels like reading a mystery book and finding out the last chapter got torn out.

That BTK stuff they showed was so CREEPY. The way he was just living that double life, all normal on the outside but doing those weird rehearsals in his house. I think the REAL question is why Netflix just dumped it with no warning. They knew what the show was building toward, right? Like they had to have seen the numbers and the fan base. It's not like it was some cheap show either, Fincher put a LOT of money into making it look and feel right. So what changed? Did they just decide it wasn't gonna be a big enough hit to finish the story? Because that's just BONKERS to me.
