Just realized I'm still mad about 'Firefly' getting the axe after one season

I rewatched the whole series last week (again), and the ending just leaves you hanging. On one side, you had this amazing universe set up with the Alliance and the Reavers, and you just know there were plans for more about Shepherd Book's past and Inara's illness. But on the other side, maybe leaving some mystery was better than risking a bad second season? What's one story thread you really wish had gotten a proper ending?

Ugh, don't even get me started! I'm still bitter about the whole thing. For me, it's definitely what was going on with Inara. That whole mystery just got dropped.

Yeah, they built up that whole thing with her illness and the blue gloves for nothing. Felt like they forgot about it halfway through making the movie. Classic case of setting up a mystery box with no payoff. Guess we're just supposed to assume she got better off-screen. Real satisfying way to handle a main character's big secret.

Totally agree, that kind of dropped plot is so annoying! I just focus on the parts that did work, like the action scenes. @charlesanderson is right though, Inara's story was another letdown.
