A journeyman in my shop said my wire stripping was too slow and messy
He watched me for a minute and said, 'You're pulling the strippers toward you, that's why the copper gets nicked.' He showed me to push the tool away from my body instead. I tried it on a 12/2 Romex and the strip was way cleaner and faster. Anyone else have a small change that made a big difference in your speed?

Totally! Same with my crimping technique.

Actually, the crimp's success depends more on the terminal's material than the wire size. A soft terminal can deform around any gauge if you use enough force. That's why I always match my crimp dies to the terminal brand, not just the wire.
