I finally gave those flexible corner trowels a real shot on a curved wall job

I always thought they were just a gimmick for people who couldn't handle a normal trowel. Last month, I had to patch a big, curved bulkhead in a remodel over in the West End. My boss handed me a 6-inch Goldblatt flex trowel and said just try it. After the first coat, I saw it hugged the curve perfectly without leaving any hard lines. It cut my taping time down by almost an hour on that section alone. Has anyone else switched to these for curved work, or do you have another method you like better?

Isn't it funny how we all pretend we don't change our minds? I see it all the time, like my friend who swore she'd never get a dog and now posts more pictures of her pug than her kids.
