Always thought BIM was overhyped till I had to coordinate MEP on a 5-story project
I used to roll my eyes every time someone brought up Building Information Modeling. Figured it was just AutoCAD with extra steps. But last year I got stuck on a job where the ductwork kept clashing with plumbing risers on 3 different floors. Spent a whole weekend fixing it in Revit before anyone touched a pipe on site and it saved maybe 20 hours of rework. Im a convert now. Anyone else have a tool they dismissed at first that ended up being worth it?

Guilty, I once mocked laser levels until I dropped my tape measure off a ladder.

Used to think they were unnecessary until I borrowed one from a neighbor. Now I won't go up a ladder without mine.
