My student in 7th period asked me why I always wear the same blue jacket, and I've been thinking about it for a week.

It happened right after the bell rang last Tuesday, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had a simple comment from a kid stick with them like that.

You said it happened right after the bell. That's probably why it stuck with you, those offhand comments when the room is quiet hit different. The kid was probably just curious, but it's funny how our brains latch onto those tiny moments.
