Can we talk about how I used to think all feedback was just nitpicking?

A regular at the store said my 'helpful' product demos were actually confusing because I talked too fast. I slowed down and started using my hands to point at features instead, and people seem to get it now. Has a small piece of advice ever totally flipped your approach to something?

Wait you were talking with your hands the whole time? That's wild.

Wild" feels like the wrong word for it. In my experience, it's just a normal way to talk for a lot of people. My family is like that, so it's second nature. I don't even notice I'm doing it most of the time. It just helps get the point across.
