That week I turned off location sharing on my phone

I turned off location sharing for all my apps last Tuesday after reading about data brokers, and by Friday I got lost twice using maps because the app kept defaulting to a wrong city. Has anyone else noticed their phone's GPS acting up when you strip away permissions?

Yeah @morgan915 nailed it. Reboot your phone after changing permissions, fixes that glitch.

I saw a thread on Reddit where a guy said his phone started acting like he was in another state after he killed all location permissions. Something about how the OS gets confused without enough reference points from nearby towers. Your map glitch sounds exactly like that.
