My phone's location history just showed me a place I never went

I was checking my Google Timeline last week to see when I visited my sister in Phoenix, and it had me at a coffee shop 20 miles away at 2 PM on a Tuesday. I was at my desk at work the whole time. It hit me that I've been letting these apps track my every move for 'convenience' while they're clearly just guessing or mixing up data. I feel like a fool for thinking it was even close to accurate. Has anyone else had their location data be completely wrong like this?

Yeah, that "accurate" location data is doing some creative writing.

My weather app says it's raining at my house right now. I'm looking out the window at a completely clear sky. It's wrong, but it's not exactly a crisis.
