Wasted $400 on a coworking membership I barely used

I signed up for this fancy coworking spot in Lisbon last month thinking itd force me to be more productive. First week was great, I got a ton of work done from their rooftop terrace. But then I realized I was just paying to sit in a room while cafes had better wifi for free. Anyone else drop cash on a membership they regretted?

Right? Did the same thing in Barcelona, 300 bucks down the drain.

Totally feel you on this one. I mean, I did the exact same thing last year at this place in Medellin. The first week I was all pumped up drinking their fancy coffee and feeling like a real entrepreneur. But then the novelty wore off and I realized I could get the same amount of work done from a quiet corner at a Starbucks for like 3 bucks. It's honestly such a trap because you think paying money will force you to be productive, but it doesn't really work like that. I'd be embarrassed to add up what I spent on memberships I barely used, so you're definitely not alone in this.

Honestly @alex_taylor10, 300 bucks in Barcelona is barely a weekend out there. Is this really that deep or are we just bored?
