That day last week when all 3 campaigns crashed before 9am and I almost quit
Last Tuesday was brutal. I woke up to 14 missed messages from a client because their Google Ads budget somehow got set to $0 overnight. Then I checked the Facebook account for another client and someone had deleted their entire product catalog. No idea who or why. And to top it off, our email automation for a third client stopped sending at 5pm the day before so we lost a whole evening of leads. By 10am I was sitting in my truck just staring at the steering wheel wondering why I do this for a living. The worst part is none of these issues were even my fault. Has anyone else had a morning where everything just falls apart at once?

Gotta jump in here because I see this a little different, @ray324. I mean, yeah, backup plans are great in theory, but when you're managing 5+ clients solo like a lot of us are, you can't be checking budgets at midnight every night without burning out. Last Tuesday I had a client's LinkedIn ads ghost-fire $2k in two hours because their bid strategy glitched out, and my "automated warning" system didn't even fire. Sometimes platforms just break in ways you can't plan for, and saying it's all on the account manager feels like victim blaming to me.

You say none of these issues were your fault, but isn't that the problem right there? If you're managing multiple campaigns without a single backup plan or someone covering overnight alerts, then the system you built is the real issue. A good account manager double checks budgets at midnight, sets up automated warnings, and has a fallback for catalog changes.
