My new $40 automatic pet feeder jammed on the first day

I got a Petlibro feeder to stop my cat from waking me up at 5 AM for food. It worked great for one meal, then the rotating plate got stuck and dumped the whole day's portion at once. Now I have a very happy, fat cat and a mess to clean up. Has anyone found a reliable brand that doesn't break right away?

I used to trust those fancy feeders, but my cat broke three in a month. I just set an alarm and feed him myself now.
