My landlord said leave the dishwasher cracked open after every load and I thought it was nonsense for 8 months
I fought him on it forever because it looked messy, then our $1,200 repair guy in Des Moines pulled the door panel and showed me the rust line across the control board from trapped steam. Leaving it cracked two inches costs me nothing and I haven't had a single error code since March. Anyone else get talked into a house habit they hated at first?
Lmao this is me with the fridge water filter, ignored the light for like a year thinking it was a scam. My wife still brings it up every time I change it now. But hey, at least your dishwasher didn't rust out, that control board would've hurt way worse.
