Just looked up how much time we spend on hold each year and wow

I was on hold with my internet company for 45 minutes yesterday, so I got curious and googled it. A study from a time management site said the average person spends about 43 hours a year just waiting on hold. That's over a full work week! I found it on a blog post from TimeWellScheduled last month. Has anyone found a good way to make that time less painful, or a company that actually answers fast?

That's a great hack! Maybe we should all just start a hold music review podcast while we wait.

My old Bluetooth speaker makes hold music almost bearable.
