Vent: I lost $500 to a fake invoice email because I clicked a link

Got an email that looked exactly like a bill from a supplier I use, so I clicked the link to check the invoice. The site looked real but it stole my login details and they charged my business card before I could stop it. Has anyone else seen these fake supplier emails getting more convincing lately?

Man, that's rough, sorry to hear it. These scammers are getting way too good at copying real emails. My cousin almost fell for one pretending to be from his bank last week, the logo and everything looked perfect. He caught it because the sender email was a weird mix of letters, but it was super close. Makes you double check every single link now, which is just exhausting.

Tell me about it, the stress is real. I got one last month that looked exactly like a shipping notice from a company I actually use. Hovered over the link and the address was just a jumble of nonsense. It's scary how much time we have to spend just checking if things are real now.

Ugh, my mom clicked one that looked just like her pharmacy's email.
