Update: Dry cutting hair is my go-to method now
I know most cosmetologists are taught to cut hair wet, but I've found dry cutting gives better results. You can see how the hair naturally falls and avoid surprises when it dries. For example, on curly hair, cutting wet can lead to uneven lengths. Dry cutting allows for precise adjustments based on the client's texture. It might take longer, but the finish is more accurate. I recommend trying it on a few clients to see the improvement.

I switched to dry cuts a year ago and my clients love the results.

Totally agree! My stylist started doing dry cuts on my hair and it was a game changer. The shape just sits so much better from the very first wash. I'm never going back to wet cuts now.

Yeah I read somewhere that dry cuts can work better for curly hair, lets you see the natural shape. Might have to look into it more.
