inWhy does nobody talk about the Cabinetmakers' Guild in Munich? I'm planning a visit.
Nah I actually prefer winging it with museums, half the fun is stumbling on random exhibits. Always hunt for the woodworking sections though, those old hand tools are legit fascinating.

inI finally got our shop to adopt a buddy system for heavy lifts
Learn from my own painful experience, my back screamed at me after moving a couch alone last year. Now I bribe my brother with pizza to help with ANY heavy lifting. Trying to be a hero just lands you on the couch with a heating pad for a week. Some jobs are MEANT for two people, like hauling groceries up stairs or wrestling a Christmas tree into the stand. Your back isn't giving advice, it's issuing a command.

inRant: Neighborhood power problems are screwing up my avionics testing
AVR is key. When holly_jones29 said automatic voltage regulation, that's the whole point. My old UPS didn't have it, so every voltage dip messed with my gear. Cheap ones switch to battery too slow and you still get a blink. Calling the power company might help, but they take forever to actually do anything. You're better off just getting a UPS with good AVR from the start.

inAppreciation post: My turn on comic fan theories
Remember the Bran Stark theory for Game of Thrones that spoiled it for everyone. It kinda ruins the surprise but makes you rewatch for all the clues they planted.

inI fought against a dehumidifier for my comic room until summer hit
Yeah that "ruins paper fast" part is no joke. It's not just about the pages feeling damp, that moisture makes the paper warp and the colors can actually start to bleed. I've seen old books where the pages get those wavy edges and then the spine glue fails. Summer humidity will turn a box of comics into a brick of mold if you're not careful.
