Showerthought: I used to think hair oil was a scam

I hated hair oil for years. Thought it just made my clients look greasy. But then I watched a woman with damaged hair from too much bleach use a lightweight argan oil on damp strands. Her hair looked healthy after three weeks. Now I recommend the right oil based on porosity. Anyone else have a product they avoided until they saw it work?

Swore by the same logic for ages. Thought any oil was basically just snake oil for hair. Then my sister's hair was breaking off something awful from constant heat styling. She tried this super light jojoba oil on a recommendation and I watched it actually help her ends. Still don't get the people who slather heavy stuff on fine hair though, that's a whole different mess.
