Finally nailed balayage on my 4th try last week in Tampa

Ive been practicing on mannequins for 2 months and kept getting muddy roots. Last Thursday I tried a finer weave with smaller sections and actually got that soft melt look. Took me about 3 hours but the color blended smooth no harsh lines. Has anyone else struggled with getting the saturation right near the crown?

Yeah you got that right. Fine weave is a game changer up top.

Saw a stylist on YouTube talk about using a finer weave for the crown. Said it helps the saturation not go muddy. Made sense when I tried it.
