My neighbor called putting ice in milk 'a crime against nature'

I was getting a coffee at the place on Maple Street yesterday and overheard two guys arguing. One said he always puts ice cubes in his glass of milk to keep it cold, and the other guy looked genuinely offended. He said it was a crime against nature and that it waters down the milk. I just drink it plain, but it got me thinking. Is it a smart hack or does it ruin a perfectly good drink? What's the verdict on iced milk?

Honestly that whole debate just reminds me of my grandpa. He used to put a single ice cube in his red wine, said it took the edge off cheap stuff. My mom would get so mad, called it a sin. Tbh I tried it once and it just made the wine taste like cold water after a minute. Some people just have their weird little rituals, I guess.

Maybe your grandpa just liked the ritual more than the actual taste. I mean, some habits are more about comfort than flavor. Could be he just enjoyed doing something his own way.
