My power trowel locked up mid-pour on a 30 yard slab last Thursday

Ngl I was seconds away from calling it a bad blade setup, turns out the gearbox was just bone dry on oil. Had to hand finish that whole section with a bull float - took me an extra 3 hours. Anyone else ever skipped maintenance on a trowel and paid for it?

Wait, oil won't fix a locked-up gearbox, you probably chewed the teeth already.

Ha @alex_hall91 you're probably right, I just wanted to blame the cheap fluid instead of admitting I drove it dry last summer.
