Spent 45 minutes waiting for the 7 bus yesterday and watched three of them go by full
Honestly, the 7 bus on Broad Street in Philly has been a mess lately. I counted at least 12 people pressed against the doors on the second one that passed me. Has anyone else had luck catching it earlier in the morning, or is this just how it is now?

Robert Roberts is right about the route, but the problem goes way beyond just one bus line. I've noticed this same pattern with a bunch of routes around the city over the last year or two. It's like SEPTA gave up on matching the number of buses to how many people are actually riding them. Every time I see a packed bus roll past a stop, I just figure it's part of the new normal now.

You got the bus number wrong, that's the 7 bus on Market Street not Broad Street. The 7 runs east-west on Market from 33rd to Frankford. The Broad Street line is the BSL subway, not a bus. But yeah the 7 has been awful lately, packed solid by 8am most days from what I've seen. I tried catching it at 6:45 last week and it was still standing room only. The later it gets the worse it is, like after 7:30 you're basically gambling on getting on at all.
