Why does nobody talk about the scalper bots at the local con?

I saw the line for the exclusive variant cover at the Chicago con last month, and it was 90% resellers with ticket printers. The actual fans who camped out got nothing because the system was flooded in under a minute. How do we even fight this?

Wait, ticket printers? They were just printing new tickets on the spot to get back in line? That's a whole new level of scummy. No wonder the real fans got shut out completely.

Used to believe the system was just bad luck for most people. Hearing they had mobile printers running to fake new tickets shows it wasn't luck at all. That's a planned operation to cheat the line. Changes the whole story from a messy sale to a straight up scam against regular buyers.

Seen this same thing with limited sneaker drops and concert merch. People bring portable printers to fake proof of purchase and cut the line. It's not just tickets, it's any system that relies on trust. The cheaters always find a way to game it because there's real money in reselling.
