Stopped by a new coffee shop in Austin and saw something cool for comic fans

Honestly, I was just grabbing a latte and noticed they had a whole shelf of indie comics for people to read. Tbh, it wasn't just the usual big name stuff, but a bunch of local creator books I'd never seen before. The barista told me they swap them out every month from a shop across town. It got me thinking about how many other small spots might be doing this. Has anyone else found a good comic read in a totally unexpected place?

Ha, my dentist only has old golf magazines.

Oh man, that's the worst. Actually though, those are probably from a waiting room subscription service. They send a mix of random old magazines to offices. So your dentist didn't even pick the golf ones, they just get whatever shows up. It's always the most boring stuff. Makes the wait feel even longer.

Totally get that! My local library has a free comic book day box by the entrance, found some amazing weird stuff in there. It's such a cool way to find new stories.
