Rant: My loop ran forever because I forgot to increment
Was testing a simple counter and walked away for coffee. Came back to my computer sounding like a jet engine.

Yeah the jet engine sound is too real. My old laptop used to do that and just shut down one time.

My 2015 Dell Inspiron did the same thing every summer. The fans would scream and then it would just die on me. I finally took the back panel off and cleaned out all the dust with a can of air. It was packed solid with lint and hair. After that, the noise stopped completely and it never shut down from overheating again. Now I try to clean the vents every few months to keep it from happening.
