Walking through a machine shop in Detroit made me rethink tool storage
I was at this old place near Dearborn last month, just checking out some used equipment. The guy running the show had all his end mills and collets organized in these beat up tackle boxes, nothing fancy. It got me thinking about how I spend too much time chasing down the right tool in my own shop. He said he spent maybe $40 total on his setup and it works better than my $300 cart. Has anyone else found a cheap storage hack that just clicked for you?

Have you tried those cheap plastic organizer trays from harbor freight? They work perfect for smaller bits and cost less than a pack of smokes.
